Mrs. Anita A. Calceta, Instructor; Mr. Jolas V. De Veas, student instructor; Mrs. Regina Sapp, Instructor

Ms. Regina A. Sapp
Licensed Cosmetologist/Licensed Instructor

Regina’s passion for beauty began as a young girl in Georgia, watching her mother style her hair and take her along for makeovers at the local cosmetic store. After graduating from the Pacific Institute of Cosmetology in 1992 alongside Anita and earning her license in 1993, Regina went on to open BeautiWorks (1999–2008) and later Salina’s BeautiWorks in 2011. She became a licensed instructor in 2010, sharing her love for the craft with students ever since. Rooted in family tradition, Regina proudly carries on the legacy of her grandfather, Juan Jaka, who barbered at the historic White House general store in Sinajana—one of Guam’s old-time staples. When she’s not teaching, Regina enjoys singing, dancing, and spending time at the beach with her family. Her advice to students: “Lead with patience, passion, love, and care.” Her goal? To one day open her own beauty supply store.

Mrs. Anita A. Calceta
Licensed Cosmetologist/Licensed Instructor

Anita started her beauty journey at the Pacific Institute of Cosmetology, mastering both Milady and Pivot Point techniques before earning her license in 1993. Her early career flourished in several of Guam’s beloved salons—Salina’s, Hair House, Domani, and the old-time favorite Chic Salon back in the ’80s, just to name a few. Her passion for skincare bloomed at DFS, where she worked with prestige brands like MAC, Nina Ricci, Chanel, and La Mer. Now a licensed instructor since 2010 (thanks to her 600-hour training at Mariacy Beauty Academy), Anita blends decades of industry experience with soulful R&B vibes from the ’80s and ’90s. Her mantra? “Be patient, stay focused, and chase your passion—no matter what stands in your way.”

Jolas V. De Veas
President, Licensed Cosmetologist/Barber & Student Instructor Jolas began his beauty journey at Mariacy Beauty Academy, earning his cosmetology license in 2014. After mastering his craft at Jervy’s Barber and Butterhouse, he co-founded Kreme & Butter, a creative space that reflects his dedication to skill, style, and community. Now serving as President of Heritage Beauty College, Jolas is driven by a passion to share his knowledge and inspire the next generation of professionals. Outside of the classroom and barbershop, he enjoys bowling, DJing, and spending quality time with his five-year-old son, Vhen. His guiding belief? “Roots. Nurture. Lasting Legacies.”

Jan Gozum
Licensed Cosmetologist/Barber & Student Instructor

Jan is a 2022 graduate of Mariacy Beauty Academy and a proud product of Kreme & Butter, where his barbering career officially took off. But his passion started long before that—he was already cutting hair in backyards back in 2017, even before graduating high school in 2020. When he’s not in the shop, Jan enjoys construction work, shooting hoops, and family time. Now a student instructor at Heritage Beauty College, his mission is to guide future barbers and stylists on the right path—bridging classroom training with real-world salon life. His advice? “It’s better to be in the shop than at the shop. Be present, stay passionate, and keep your head in the game—not in the breakroom.”
